Craft Day
We had quite a full day yesterday putting together menus, party favors, and chapel programs. Thank you to the families for helping us out to get this all done. Emily has been planning all of this for a while and I have to say it is a relief to see it all come together yesterday. Cutting, punching, counting, proofing, printing, M&M counting, perforating, collating, and tying ribbon - it was a flurry of activity! Looks like the bulk of it is done, and we'll have plenty of time on Wednesday to finish the work. We had originally thought we'd just do it all Wednesday, but I'm not sure we could have pulled it all off in one day. As we were working, we kept saying that we were glad there weren't 300 guests!
The tough part of planning the wedding isn't really any one task - it's just that there are many smaller tasks which you can't keep in your head all at once. So a maintained to-do list is key for me to get any sleep at night. Actually I'll just lay down at night and think of 3 things I need to do; so only after they're added to the list can I sleep soundly. The big thing left is the slide show. Should only take a couple hours - got some software for it from JF, and we already have the photos all scanned in thanks to our moms. I'm considering putting little video snippets in there, too, but we'll see how much time I have to get fancy like that.
